Join our guest instructor Lani Stringer in a step-by-step guided workshop in creating your own funky clay fish bust to hang on your wall. This workshop is open to beginners 9 years of age and older (potters under 16 must be accompanied by an adult participant).

This is a paint-your-own pottery event open to the public at James Island County Park. Please remember your county park pass or $2 per person entry fee to enter the park itself. We will be set up at a picnic table in the field between the playground and the splash pad. We will have pottery items for painting starting at $20. We’ll guide you in selecting and applying your paints and then take your masterpieces back to the studio to be glazed and fired. Items will be available for pickup Saturday May 9th. This event is weather permitting and will be moved to our studio at 1411 Folly Road suite 306 in case of rain.

During this workshop, your instructor will guide you through sculpting this hand built pumpkin pie trinket box and lid using wet clay! We will then glaze and fire your box for pickup two weeks later. This workshop is open to all ages, potters 12 years of age and younger require an adult chaperone. Food and drinks are welcome and alcohol is permitted for potters 21 years of age and older.

Clay Club is finally here! This afterschool drop-off group meets once weekly (except for the last week of the month) and is open to children 6 to 12 years old. During our time together we will learn clay hand-building techniques, pottery glazing and bisque painting. We will create three complete projects (as shown in picture): A snail paint pallet, a rainbow wall-hanger, and the 'my days are booked' salad plate. Please note that colors are customizable!

Paint your pieces on Sunday the 13th between 1 and 6pm at LowTide Brewing and pick it up from Pluff Mud Pottery in time to use for the 420 holiday on Sunday April 20th! Join us to paint pipes, beakers and steins! We will have all of our 420 Cannabis Collection pieces available for painting as well as some beer steins, mugs and kids’ figurines. Get ready for 420 by crafting your own pipe from clay!! Your instructor will walk you through creating your choice of three body styles of pipe: straight, square or traditional “bowl” (straight and square pictured here). After molding your masterpiece our staff will kiln-fire it so that you may return to paint your pipe in any of our regular or specialty glaze. Your pipe is then re-fired and packaged for pickup. This workshop is $35 per pipe and includes the glazing and second firing for no additional charge!
